Meet Kate
Kate is 42 years old, and she was hit by a car six months ago. During the accident, Kate fractured her ribs, and her right leg in two places.
After a short stay in hospital, Kate was discharged with a wheelchair to use for her mobility, and a shower chair for bathing.
Kate has been undergoing rehabilitation since her accident. She experienced muscle weakness and reduced fitness.
Six months has passed, and Kate has now progressed with her muscle strength and mobility, and is able to walk independently around her home. She now uses a walking stick for longer distances outside. Kate will continue use a walking stick until she is safe and comfortable to walk without one.
